Dosofeevskaya Stairs (from Room 402/3 on lvl. +24.0 to Room 406/2 on lvl. +13.0

The stairs were built after the accident to connect the eastern and western halves of the reactor building, and are named for their designer: Dosifej Stepanovich Shepkov. Dosifei was an expert in building materials and was known for solo trips into the shelter to inspect the damage to the structure. There was always a risk of being trapped inside when concrete was being poured into the higher levels, so he would bring a bag of sandwiches with him, just in case he needed to wait a few days for rescue.
